The most successful golfer in Point Loma history, Cyr brought national attention to Point Loma with his outstanding play over all four seasons (2006-09). He won back-to-back NAIA National Championships as a junior and senior to cap off a four-year All-American career. He set the NAIA record for lowest single-round score when he fired a 12-under 60 at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational. It was not all just individual success for Cyr at PLNU. He also helped lead the Sea Lions to three different top 10 finishes at the national tournament, including a school-record fifth place finish in 2006. Upon leaving Point Loma, Cyr owned each of the top 3 spots for single-season stroke average.
