SAN DIEGO – Despite a cold and rainy day at PLNU Field, the NAIA No. 8-ranked Sea Lions still managed to power through and defeat visiting San Diego Christian 4-0 Wednesday afternoon.Point Loma Nazarene remains undefeated with a record of 10-0-1 overall and 2-0 in conference.

Katie Pedlowe started the game off strong in minute 20, making the first goal of the game from an assist by forward
Brooke Winklepleck. Winklepleck grabbed a goal kick at midfield and charged down the middle of the pitch before feeding the ball to Pedlowe who dribbled past a defender and fired in, sneaking the ball past San Diego Christian's goal keep Katelyn Ogle. It was Pedlowe's third goal for the season.

Codi Cameron, who put in two of her team's four goals in the game. The first, in minute 69 was an unassisted kick off of a deflection. The second, in minute 71 was assisted by forward
Katie Pedlowe. San Diego Christian's goal keep left the net wide open and Cameron took her chance, bumping in the ball and giving the Sea Lions a 3-0 lead. It was the second and third goals of the year for Cameron.
Freshman middle Claire Matthews got her first goal of the season and the final for the GSAC match in the 83rd minute. She kicked the ball in off of a deflection directly past the Hawk keeper.
San Diego Christian (4-5, 0-2 GSAC) played two goalies for the game, Katelyn Ogle for the first 69 minutes and Emily Wilson for the last 21 minutes. PLNU took twenty-two shots with nine being shots on goal and a total of four goals for the win.
Point Loma's goalkeeper,
Tiffany Kracy, was rarely threatened throughout the game; when she was, Kracy successfully stopped both of the Hawks' shots on goal.
The shutout was the eighth consecutive for the Sea Lions which have not been scored upon since August.
Point Loma hosts Fresno Pacific University, their third GSAC game of the season, on Saturday starting at noon.
