SAN DIEGO - Maika Adair and
Hope Penner were each selected to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-West Region team. Adair picked up first team honors, while Penner was placed on the second team.
Adair, a junior from San Diego (Serra HS), played the No. 1 singles spot throughout the season for the Sea Lions. She went 10-12 on the season, and closed out the regular season strong with wins in four of her final five matches. Five of her singles victories came in straight sets.
Penner was the No. 2 singles player and part of the No. 1 doubles team all season for PLNU. The junior from Placentia, Calif. (El Dorado HS), helped the Sea Lions during their first year playing a full NCAA Division II schedule and in the Pacific West Conference to go 10-16 on the season.
