PLNU Athletics

AS A JUNIOR (2011)
Ran in three races for PLNU…Placed 37th at the Biola Invitational for a season-best finish…Also ran in the Aztec Invitational and the Willamette Invite.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2010)
Competed in a total of five races over the season including the NAIA National Championships where she earned a time of 19:34, second best on the team... personal best time of 18:54 was earned at the GSAC Championship.

AS A FRESHMAN (2009)
Super first year at the Point… an All-GSAC performer with a time of 18:23 (13th overall, 2nd on the team)… named team MVP... ran seven times for the Sea Lions, best time was 18 flat at Willamette 5K… also competed at the NAIA Championships, placing second on the team and 86th overall with a time of 19:45.

PRIOR TO PLNU
Ran four years of varsity cross country at Elk Grove High School… was named team MVP twice… qualified for the sectional meet three times… ran at the state meet in her senior season… finished 34th at the Illinois state championships… ran a 5k best of 18:39… led her school to its first sectional finals appearance in 11 years… was named Best Female Athlete at her high school… numerous academic honors… also ran track… broke the school record and qualified for state in the 2-mile.

PERSONAL
Born in Park Ridge, Illinois… daughter of Randy and Jill… has a sister Christi… came to PLNU for the beautiful weather, great Christian community and academics… favorite foods are chocolate, cheese and cereal… favorite movie is Ratatouille… fan of the Chicago Bears… person she most admires is Deena Kastor… person she would most like to meet is Frank Lloyd Wright… hobbies include cooking, reading and swimming… Gina is majoring in Therapeutic & Community Psychology.
