Amanda Mitchell, a freshman from Quartz Hill, Calif. (Desert Christian HS), scored two first-half goals in the Sea Lions' 3-1 win over Grand Canyon. Mitchell pushed the Sea Lions' lead to 2-0 in the seventh minute when she took a full field pass from goal keeper Tiffany Kracy on one bounce and headed it over the GCU goalie for the score. She would add another in the 18th minute on an assist from Codi Cameron. Mitchell leads Point Loma this season with seven goals and 15 points.
