Community Involvement:
PLNU was presented with the PacWest Community Engagement award two times in three years. Some of their projects they have participated in include:
- PLNUÂ athletics honored military veterans by partnering with Wounded Warrior Project. Read more here.
- Women's soccer took a trip to Zambia, Africa and worked with kids attending an underprivileged school and church. They taught classes and played with the kids.
- Men's soccer went to Medellin, Colombia and got involved with the local community there by leading coaching clinics, building houses, and much more.Â
- PLNUÂ athletes helped out at the Regional Special Olympics that was hosted by PLNU this past year by helping with everything from set-up, running events, and even being assigned as a "buddy" to help the athletes competing.Â
- Teams partnered with Bread of Life Ministry on campus to help prepare and serve food every Saturday.Â
- Every year, the women's volleyball team hosts a Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness event by donating $2 for every ticket sold to support the fight against breast cancer.
- The SALT helped generate awareness for the Make-A-Wish foundation and ended up raising over $2,000.Â
