Bryan Burkhead, a senior outfielder/designated hitter from San Diego (Crawford High School), went 5-for-10 in the three-game series against Cal State Monterey Bay with three doubles, a home run and three runs scored. He also knocked in three runs and was walked twice. He collected a hit in each of the first three games of the season, including smacking three doubles Saturday's night cap. Burkhead hit cleanup for the Sea Lions in all three games.
