Savannah Wedemeyer was a driving force for the Sea Lions who took down two teams last week, which both came in undefeated in conference play, to take over the top spot in the PacWest Conference with a 7-0 record (13-3 overall). The sophomore from Pagosa Springs, Colo., began the week with 31 assists, 10 digs, two kills and three aces as the Sea Lions dismantled Azusa Pacific in three sets. Wedemeyer then came back on Saturday on the road at California Baptist to record a team-leading 43 assists and 17 digs. She also added two aces and two kills. The win over APU was PLNU first in nine tries, and the win over Cal Baptist was the first in eight attempts. Â
