The 2014 women's tennis team upset a pair of nationally ranked opponents last week and sent coach Rich Hills away from PLNU with one of the biggest victories of the season. It started on Wednesday, Apr. 9 when PLNU defeated No. 17 UC San Diego in coach Hills' final home match. What made the match even more memorable was the fact that the Sea Lions dropped all three doubles matches but swept singles to defeat the Tritons 6-3. Then on Saturday, PLNU traveled to Westmont, which is the No. 4 ranked team in the NAIA, 7-2. PLNU swept doubles and went on to win four of the six singles matches.
