PLNU Athletics

Roya Rustamzada scored career-high 11 points, including making both her 3-point attempts, en route to being named the PacWest Freshman of the Week. This was the first PacWest honor of the year for the PLNU women's basketball team. Rustamzada also added three steals and three rebounds in PLNU's 71-67 loss to Dixie State in the PacWest opener for both teams. She went 3-for-6 in the game and 3-of-4 at the charity stripe.
