Soliaana Faapouli opened up strong out of the gate by moving up in the Point Loma record books in both the hammer and the shot put. She won the shot put at the CMS Rossi Relays by over three feet with a toss of 41-7.75. That was the furthest throw for PLNU in 12 years and tied her for second in school history. She took sole control of second place in the record book in the hammer throw with a mark of 152-10 (46.58m). It allowed her to finish second at the meet. She also placed third in the discus with a throw of 126-7 (38.58m).
