When the Sea Lions had to have a win to keep its postseason hopes alive, Abshire stepped up with one of his best performances of the season to help PLNU win 8-1 and split its four-game series at Dixie State. He allowed just four hits and one run over 5.1 innings while striking out five to improve to 7-2 on the season. His seven wins ties him for third in the PacWest.
