Michaela Maes led the PLNU women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over Dixie State in the Sea Lions' PacWest Conference opener. Maes scored the first, and what proved to be game-winning goal, just seconds before halftime on a shot from 25 yards out. The senior from Clayton, Calif. (Berean Christian HS) then assisted on Kaiti Freeberg's goal in the 70th minute to extend the Sea Lions' lead to 2-0. PLNU is now undefeated in their last 14 PacWest contests.
