Roya Rustamzada averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game while PLNU opened the season at 2-0 against two teams at the PacWest/CCAA Conference in which both played in the NCAA West Regional. The sophomore forward opened up the season just missing a triple-double with 28 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in the Sea Lions' overtime victory over defending CCAA Champions Cal State Dominguez Hills.
