Sheppard hurled his second complete game victory of the season. He took the mound in the first game of Point Loma's four-game sweep of Fresno Pacific, allowing only one run, four hits and one walk, while striking out six. He did not allow a hit until a solo home run in the fifth inning broke up his shutout. He also hit a two-run home run in the first inning.

Sheppard finished the season at 8-4 and was fifth in the PacWest with a 2.41 earned run average. He was also third in in the PacWest with a .234 opponent batting average and a 1.05 WHIP, while leading the league with just 1.23 walks allowed per nine innings.
