The Point Loma cross country team placed fourth at the NCAA West Regional in Billings, Mont., to become the first Sea Lion team to ever earn the right to compete for an NCAA Championship in Saint Leo, Fla., on Nov. 19. PLNU outpaced its original No. 5 seed as it placed three runners in the top 15, and all five in the top 53 to finish fourth with 124 points. Hannah Benoit Bucher (ninth), Brianna Bartello (10th) and Marissa Bartello (15th) each earned USTFCCCA All-West Region honors.
