Eric Pierce saved both games of a doubleheader against Cal State Dominguez Hills. In the opener he came into a game in the eighth with the tying run on base and got a groundball double play to end the threat. In the nightcap he set the Toros down in order to complete the doubleheader sweep. Pierce has not allowed run in 10.0 innings pitched this season. He has struck out 11 and allowed just one extra base hit.
