Mike Planeta earned PacWest All-Tournament honors after helping the sixth seeded Sea Lions advance all the way to the championship game. He opened the tournament with a 14-point performance, including four 3-pionters against Dixie State. In the next game he only scored eight points, but he had the biggest shot of the game with a game-winning 3-point basket with 4.0 seconds remaining. In the championship he tied for the team lead with 15 points. Over the three-day tournament, Planeta was 14-for-28 from the field and 9-of-21 from 3-point range en route to scoring 37 points. He added 12 rebounds and two assists.
