Ellie Gamble turned out four great performances last week that led to her going 4-0 between singles and doubles play. Through her first six matches of the season she is 5-1 in singles play and 3-3 in doubles, each of her doubles wins have come with different partners. Last week she helped the Sea Lions to two big wins over Cal State LA and Biola. Against Cal State LA she won at No. 3 doubles with Michelle Torres, PLNU's only doubles win of the day, and then earned the clinching fifth point at No. 4 singles to give the Sea Lions the victory. In a change of pace for Gamble, she played at No. 1 doubles against Biola with partner Taylor McGowan and earned an 8-4 win and proceeded to take her No. 3 singles match 6-2, 6-1 to finish her clean sweep of the week.
