Carolina Cuevas went 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles over the week to help the Sea Lions collect three victories, including one over the No. 6 team in the country, Academy of Art. Cuevas won in straight sets against Colorado Mesa, while moving into the No. 1 singles spot. She then defeated ARTU's No. 2 player, also in straight sets in singles and an 8-4 win in doubles as PLNU pulled out a 5-4 victory. Cuevas is now 9-3 on the season in singles and 7-6 in doubles. She also helped PLNU rise up to No. 11 in the national rankings.
