Abbi Swanson played a part in three of the goals as Point Loma secured two victories to open PacWest play. The six points put Point Loma at the top of the conference standings as the Sea Lions begin their conference title defense. Swanson scored the Sea Lions' first goal of the week in the 19th minute against Holy Names. After the Hawks scored their only goal, Swanson assisted another goal for Point Loma to regain the two-goal margin. Swanson also assisted the game-winning goal in the 60th minute against Dominican.
