Zita Molnar won the Triton Classic with a time of 22:00.8. This was the first win of her collegiate career, and she did it by over 35 seconds, on the 6k course. Molnar did not take the lead early but instead stayed with the lead group for the first two miles before separating and leaving the field behind. The senior from Hungary has now placed in the top 2 in three of five races this season.
 
Coach Arvin on Zita's performance: "It was a good win, especially from the standpoint that she raced a little differently. Instead of just getting to the front and running, she let others get out in front first, and when she decided to move she just ran right past them. She had a nice kick and was still moving away from people. It was a great race and a good win."
