Ellie Turk averaged 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals as the PLNU women's basketball team spilt a series with Azusa Pacific. In the Sea Lions' win at APU, Turk scored a career-high 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting as Point Loma came back in the second half to defeat the Cougars 93-91. She had 10 points in the fourth quarter, including a jumper to extend the Sea Lions' lead to three with 1:16 left and two critical free throws with 19 seconds on the clock. The 26 points are the most for a freshman since Sydney Peterson posted 30 points against Concordia on Jan. 18, 2018. She followed that performance up with 13 points and a career-high six rebounds on Saturday night when she shot 4-of-8 from behind the arc. ­
