Kaden Anderson led Point Loma to a pair of crucial wins over Azusa Pacific to remain in first place in the PacWest SoCal Pod. The junior dropped a career-high 37 points in Saturday’s win, making 14-of-20 shots, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also made key contributions on the defensive end with four blocks and two steals. In the first game of the doubleheader, Anderson had 17 points, seven rebounds and one steal. He finished the week 9-for-10 from 3-point range, pushing his percentage this season to .538 percent. Anderson now ranks second in the PacWest with 19.4 ppg, while leading the league with both a .588 field goal percentage and a .900 free throw percentage. He is also seventh in rebounding (7.8 rpg).
