Anessa Chirgwin broke her own school record in the discus en route to placing second in the event at the PacWest Championships. The freshman from Oregon City, Ore., recorded a throw of 151-11 (46.31m) on her first attempt to earn an NCAA Provisional mark, the first for the Sea Lions this season. She earned eight points in the discus and three points in the hammer to lead PLNU in scoring at the meet.
