Courtney Dyer became the first PacWest student-athlete to ever earn the conference's Defender of the Week award twice in a row. Dyer helped the Sea Lions win each of their first two PacWest matches last week, beating Fresno Pacific and Academy of Art. Point Loma is now in a tie for first place atop the PacWest standings. Against Fresno Pacific, Dyer notched 25 digs in four sets, giving the Sea Lions their fourth win in a row. The following day, she tallied 35 digs in five sets against Academy of Art, which is her third-highest total this season. The junior libero is now averaging 6.45 digs per set, which keeps her on pace to set the PacWest record of 697 digs in a single season with 18 matches left in the regular season.
