All-PacWest selection Brock Mackenzie's three pointers shifted momentum back to the Sea Lions in the 74-60 victory against Chaminade Silverswords in the first PacWest tournament game, naming him Sea Lion MVP of the week. 

An integral piece of the 13 game win streak to finish out the 2021-22 regular season, Mackenzie was one of just two Sea Lions to start and play in all 30 games, finishing 2nd for PLNU with 14.8 points per game. He was also second in made three's with 56 and steals with 31.

Mackenzie continued to pile up points last week, putting up 26 points, 4 rebounds, an assist and a steal in Friday's PacWest Tournament Semifinal. Led by Mackenzie who sank 9 free throws, the Sea Lions went 16 for 16 from the free throw line during their contest against Academy of Art at the Special Events Center in Fresno. From the first play to the last, Brock made a positive impact on each basket including a right wing three to tie the game at 66 with time winding down. 

This Friday, the men’s basketball team will travel to San Bernardino to compete in the NCAA Championship against Azusa Pacific University. Tip off is at 7:30 PM.
