Grace Hicks' sensational performance Saturday against Concordia University Irvine earned her SportClips MVP of the Week.

The middle blocker out of Sandpoint, Idaho set a new career-high with 17 kills, while her season-high five blocks also led the team. She also added a season-high four digs and posted a new career-best with 21 points.

Point Loma’s 3-2 victory is the fourth win in a row for the Sea Lions, who are now 8-3 overall and 3-0 in the PacWest.

Hicks was key to PLNU winning the first set against CUI, recording a kill and block as part of a late 3-0 run that clinched the opening stanza for the Sea Lions.

After losing the second set and with Point Loma trailing 17-16 in the third, a pair of blocks from Hicks sparked a 5-0 rally that helped the Sea Lions hold off the Golden Eagles to go up two-sets-to-one.

Hicks then tallied three kills in the fifth set as PLNU remained unbeaten in conference play.

Point Loma hopes to keep its win streak going this Friday when it faces Biola at 6 p.m. in Golden Gymnasium.
