Defenders usually take a backseat to forwards and goalies due to lack of stats. But the backline is what makes or break a team. JJ Reading is the anchor for the PLNU defense. Last week the Sea Lions blanked San Diego Christian despite a constant downpour. Loma surrendered a couple of goals versus FPU but overall played well.
