WHAT'S HAPPENING:
The Point Loma women's basketball team will begin its first season in the Pacific West Conference on Saturday, Dec. 1, when Azusa Pacific comes to town for a 2:00 p.m. showdown. The game, along with all PacWest games this year, will be part of a doubleheader with the PLNU men's team. Tickets are still available for the games at $7 for general admission and $5 for non-Point Loma students and seniors.

A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
The Sea Lions are 2-2 on the season and 1-0 at home.
Carlotta Kloppenburg leads PLNU with 13.8 points per game and 13 treys. She is connecting on 37 percent of her shots from behind the arc and 80 percent at the charity stripe.
Nyla Bailey is right behind Kloppenburg with 13.3 ppg. She is also pulling down 5.5 rebounds per game.
Abby Boorman leads the team with 2.8 blocks and 7.0 rebounds as she continues to be a presence in the middle for Point Loma. As a team, PLNU is allowing 55 ppg and its opponents are shooting just 31 percent from the field.
SCOUTNG AZUSA PACIFIC:
The Cougars are 1-4 on the season. They picked up their first win in their last game as they defeated Cal State San Bernardino, 69-55. Hannah Kenny leads the team with 15.6 points and 7.4 rebounds. She is making 60 percent of her shots from the floor. Kelly Hardeman is the only other Cougar averaging in double-figures with 11.8 ppg. She also paces the team with nine blocks and 13 long range baskets. Opponents are averaging 72.4 ppg and shooting 44 percent on the season against Azusa Pacific.
NEXT GAMES:
Following this game the Sea Lions will go to the University of San Diego on Tuesday, Dec. 4 to face the Toreros in an exhibition game. They will then continue PacWest play when they travel to Dixie State on Dec. 15.
