OAKLAND--The Point Loma women's soccer team picked up the school's first-ever Pacific West Conference victory with a 2-0 win over the Holy Names Hawks on Thursday afternoon in Oakland.
PLNU scored twice in the first half to salt away the win early.
Krista Gregory scored six minutes into the contest and
Natalie Swift added another counter at 39 minutes off a pass from
Heather Cady.
Point Loma moved to 3-1 on the season while the Hawks fell to 1-3. It was the inaugral PWC match for both teams, who both joined the conference this year.
Senior goalkeeper
Tiffany Kracy notched her second shutout of the season, saving two Hawk shots.
PLNU outshot their hosts 16-10 and 10-2 in shots on goal. Gregory had six of those shots. Point Loma also had six corner kicks to Holy Names' one.

Tim Hall's squad will go for the bay area sweep on Saturday when they take on Academy of Art in San Francisco.
