LA JOLLA, Calif. - Heather Leavitt had a team-leading 10 kills and 13 digs for her third double-double of the season but that would be about the only positive the Point Loma volleyball team would take out of the match as it fell in three sets to No. 13 UC San Diego, 25-17, 25-8 and 25-19, on Friday (Sept. 13) at the UCSD Invitational.

UC San Diego is now 6-0 on the season. PLNU drops to 5-2.

Danielle Dahle and Sara McCuthan had 11 kills apiece to pace the Tritons which hit .288 in the match. Dahle also added 10 digs to post a double-double of her own.

"We did not perform at our best level today and the results showed it," said PLNU head coach Sarah Gustin. "We have to come back refocused tomorrow."

The Sea Lions will be in for a test again tomorrow when they battle No. 22 Cal State San Bernardino at Noon and take on Cal Poly Pomona at 5:00 p.m.
