OAKLAND - The Point Loma volleyball team completed a perfect trip to the Bay Area by sweeping Holy Names 25-14, 25-23 and 25-16 on Saturday, Sept. 21.
The 3-0 road trip to start Pacific West Conference play leaves the Sea Lions at 9-3 on the season. With the loss Holy Names is still searching for its first win of the season. HNU is now 0-11 on the season and 0-2 in PacWest.
Alyssa Dwyer led the Sea Lions with 11 kills and
Briana Vieth added a season-best 10 kills.
Kelli LeClair added nine kills and a match-high 15 digs.
Savannah Wedemeyer also had 33 assists for the Sea Lions in the win.
Melissa Munley paced the Hawks with six kills.
PLNU never trailed after the first four points in any set on their way to their third straight win to start PacWest play.
The Sea Lions will now return home to take on Dominican (CA) in a rematch on Friday Sept. 27 at 7:00 p.m.
