Box Score RIVERSIDE - The Point Loma women's soccer team became the first team in the history of the Pacific West Conference to go undefeated in a 12 game schedule as they closed out the season with a 0-0 tie against California Baptist on Saturday, Nov. 8.

PLNU (12-3-0, 11-0-1 PacWest) just missed the chance at a perfect PacWest season. No team has ever gone through league play without a tie or a loss. Dominican (CA) in 2006 was the only other team in history of the PacWest to ever complete the conference season without a loss (9-0-1).

The undefeated season earned Point Loma its first-ever PacWest Championship and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA West Regional which will take place next week. Today's match saw a matchup of the league's best offense in CBU against the league's best defense in PLNU, and the Sea Lions defense came out on top with their 10th shutout in league play. PLNU allowed just two goals to PacWest opponents all year. It did not allow a goal after the third league match of the season and is currently on a shutout streak that has extended 854:21.

Tim Hall. "I am so incredibly proud of their work. To go 11-0-1 in conference is an incredible feat. "
The stats across the board were even today. CBU outshot PLNU 11-10 but PLNU had the advantage in corner kicks (4-2).Â
