RIVERSIDE - The Point Loma volleyball team ran into another tough opponent from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference on Friday evening at the GNAC-PacWest Crossover Challenge in Alaska Anchorage. Point Loma (3-4) played better by the set, including hitting .286 in the final frame, but it was not enough to overcome UAA (6-1) which played solid all three sets.

Julie Mackey led Alaska Anchorage's attack with a match-best 14 kills and a .407 hitting percentage.  The Seawolves used a 7.0-2.0 blocking advantage and a .141 edge in hitting percentage to grind out the win.

The Sea Lions will be back in action tomorrow against Western Washington starting at 5:00 p.m.
