Box Score RIVERSIDE - The Point Loma volleyball team ran into another tough opponent from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference on Friday evening at the GNAC-PacWest Crossover Challenge in Alaska Anchorage. The Seawolves got the better of the Sea Lions in three sets, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-21, on Friday evening.

Point Loma (3-4) played better by the set, including hitting .286 in the final frame, but it was not enough to overcome UAA (6-1) which played solid all three sets.

Julie Mackey led Alaska Anchorage's attack with a match-best 14 kills and a .407 hitting percentage. Â The Seawolves used a 7.0-2.0 blocking advantage and a .141 edge in hitting percentage to grind out the win.

Heather Leavitt paced PLNU with 11 kills, while
Briana Vieth added seven and
Alyssa Dwyer chipped in with six. Â
