LOS ANGELES -
Tanner Lancona scored a game-high 26 points to lead five Sea Lions in double-figures as the Point Loma men's basketball team defeated Cal State LA, 93-84, for its third straight win (Nov. 28).
The victory allowed the Sea Lions to close out their non-conference schedule at 4-2. They will begin PacWest play at home next week against Azusa Pacific (Dec. 3) and Dixie State (Dec. 5). CSULA fell to 0-6 with the loss.
This is the second straight game Lancona has set a new career-high for scoring. He went 10-of-17 from the field, including hitting 3-of-5 shots from behind the arc to register 26 points. Last game, he scored 19 points to help PLNU get past Young Harris.
Fellow big man
Zach Burnham had a career-best night with 13 points in 10 minutes off the bench. Point Loma also received 19 points from
