SAN DIEGO - With Christmas approaching, PLNU Athletics wanted to share an update on some of its former Sea Lions student-athletes playing basketball overseas.

Hayden Lescault (2010-15): His team, BG Karlsruhe (Germany), is in first in the ProB South standings with a record of 10-2. Lescault led his team in scoring in their latest game, a win against Saarlous (2-10). He made four 3-ponters en route to a 24-point performance. Lescault ranks third on his team with 12.2 points per game and second in assists (2.9 per game). He also is grabbed 3.2 rebounds per game. His 12.2 point per game mark also ties him for 28th in all of ProB South players.

Taylor Wetherell (2012-14): Wetherell's team. Sta. Lucia Realtors (Philippines), lost a three-game semifinal matchup with Jumbo Plastic. Sta. Lucia won the first game 72-68, and went on to lose two tightly contested games by scores of 72-65 and 71-69. Details on Wetherell's performance were not available.

Marek Klassen (2010-15): Klassen continues his season with CSU Sibiu in Romania. The team sits fourth in Liga Nationala standings with a record of 8-4. Klassen averages 5.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, but he has been out with injury the past few weeks.

The PLNU men's basketball team will play at California Baptist on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 7:00 p.m. This will be the last game for PLNU in 2015. They will start back up with an exhibition game against UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 2.
