PacWest Implications
The Sea Lions are now tied for fourth in the PacWest standings with 15 points. PLNU is knotted up with both Fresno Pacific and Dixie State, who have both played one less conference match. The loss gives HPU sole possession of 11th place in the standings with seven points.

The Turning Point
With the way the Sea Lions have been playing defense at home, Abbi Swanson's goal gave the team not only the lead but a big boost of confidence. PLNU dominated the match after that first goal, scoring three more times.

Words from the Hall of Wisdom
On the defense: "The defense was solid. They didn't give up anything that was really dangerous. So I was really proud of our work rate, the grit and the physicality on defense."

On Abbi Swanson: "She's now working her way back into playing college soccer after three ACL injuries. She's a very good player and when she's confident she makes things happen. She's been a huge boost for us."

On Kawawaki: "Easton has been doing it with us for three years. And we've missed her all year and its great to have her back. I'm really proud of her too."
