ST. GEORGE, Utah - The Sea Lions traveled to Utah to take on the Trailblazers of Dixie State on Saturday. The team battled for five tough sets, alternating wins with DSU and earning the big 5th set victory 17-15. The Sea Lions often struggled offensively and only hit for a .065 percentage for the entire game but their defensive efforts kept them in the game. 

Holley Persson had another 40 dig match to tie the school record once more. Jaime Cymbaluk led the team with 14 kills and a .211 hitting percentage. Cara Keturakis was one kill away from a triple-double with 36 assists, 11 digs, and 9 kills to help pace the team in a variety of ways.

Turning Point
Down 22-18 in the 3rd set, Point Loma went on a 5-0 run to take the 23-22 lead and eventually took the set to go up 2-1. Despite losing set 4, the team was able to keep up their momentum to power to a fifth set victory.  
 
PacWest Implications
PLNU holds steady in 12th place with their 5-7 record. Dixie State now sits in sixth place with a 6-5 record.
