A look at the Sea Lions
The Point Loma women's soccer team won two big games last week against Dominican and Notre Dame de Namur. Their win on Saturday over the Notre Dame was the result of two goals in the first half, one by junior Keagan Bolibol and the other by sophomore Ashlee Smith. The Sea Lions' overall record now stands at 3-4-1 on the season. PLNU is also tied for sixth in the PacWest standings (2-2-0 PacWest).

Keagan Bolibol is leading the Sea Lions in goals scored this season with two. Ashlee Smith leads the team with 12 total shots and is also tied for third for shots on goal with three. Abbey Teagle had an assist in the game against Dominican on Thursday, Sept. 28 at home. Goalkeeper Brianna Linnell has 25 saves on the year and has a goal against average of 1.07.
 
Point Loma is ranked fourth in the conference in shutout percentage with help from the two shutout wins last week beating Dominican, 1-0 and Notre Dame, 2-0.  

A look at the Lancers
The CBU women's soccer team is 6-3-0 on the season and 4-0-0 in conference. The Lancers lead the conference with 12 points in conference. The Lancers, undefeated in conference so far, are coming into the match with PLNU on a five-game winning streak. Desarae Felix leads the conference in shots with 23 on the season and is also second in the conference with five goals. Miranda Martinez leads the team with three assists on the season. CBU is first in the PacWest with twelve points on the season. PLNU is 4-15-1 all-time against CBU. The Lancers won the last meeting at PLNU Soccer Field 2-1 (2016).
 
Next week
Point Loma will host Hawaii Pacific on Monday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m., and then travel to Dixie State (Utah) on Saturday, Oct. 21 to play at 3:30 p.m.
