Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

PLNU falls flat in 3-1 loss to ARTU

SAN DIEGO—The Sea Lions hosted the Urban Knights on Saturday afternoon, in an error-filled match the Urban Knights were able to come away with their first conference win, 3-1 over PLNU. Point Loma came out strong in the first set, swinging for a .364 hitting percentage leading them to a 25-17 win. The offense would struggle with errors over the next three sets, those issues compounded with a lack of blocking allowed ARTU to gain momentum and take three straight sets for the victory.

Madelynn Fox would have the best offensive game for Point Loma swinging for a season-high .529 percentage, notching 10 kills. Jaime Cymbaluk would make her mark for the second match in a row setting a new career-high with 16 kills. Cara Keturakis had a solid line for the Sea Lions posting 30 assists, 7 kills, and 8 digs. The team is now on a three-game skid, falling to 3-5 in conference play.
