We are in the final stretch of the regular season and the Point Loma women's soccer team will be trying to build some momentum to close out the year strong. PLNU will play its next three matches at home over the next eight days beginning with Chaminade on Monday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. The Sea Lions will then host Hawaii Hilo on Saturday (Oct. 14) and Hawaii Pacific next Monday (Oct. 16)

A look at the Sea Lions
The Point Loma women's soccer team dropped a tough match to California Baptist, 2-1, on Saturday (Oct. 7) after the Sea Lions allowed a goal 25 seconds into the match. This ended PLNU's bid for its first three-match winning streak of the season. The loss sent Point Loma (3-5-1, 2-3-0 PacWest) into 10th place in the PacWest standings with six points.
Keagan Bolibol is leading the Sea Lions in goals scored this season with two.
Ashlee Smith leads the team with 12 total shots.
Abbey Teagle and
Ashlee Watkins both have posted three points on the season with a goal and an assist. The duo connected on the fastest goal in school history, just 17 seconds into the match, to defeat Dominican. Goalkeeper
Brianna Linnell has 29 saves on the year and has a goal against average of 1.17.
A look at the Silverswords
Chaminade (3-5-0, 2-3-0 PacWest) is tied with Point Loma for 10th place in the PacWest standings with six points. The Silverswords picked up two home wins last week over Holy Names and Academy of Art before falling on the road at Concordia. This is the second match of a four-match road trip for the Silverswords which runs from Oct. 7-14.

Caitlin Tatemichi has scored seven of Chaminade's 12 goals this season. She is third in the league in goals and points. Biance Gonzalez has posted two goals this season on just four shots. Goalie Brandee Lane has played every minute in net this season for the Silverswords. She is allowing 2.5 goals per match and has a .744 save percentage. Nine of Chaminade's 12 goals this season have come in the second half.
