Words from Coach Looney
On Antelope Valley: "I thought coming into this game it was going to be difficult for us. They were smaller, very athletic and tried to drive it which I knew would be a challenge for us."

On the offense: "We have a lot of new pieces that are trying to figure out how to play together. We are a way better team when we are unified and play unselfishly. Tonight was a perfect example of it. We tried to play as individuals in the first half and scored just 33 points. We were much better playing together in the second half, and we scored 48 points."

On the team's foul trouble: "At one point in the first half we had six guys with two fouls each, so we sat all of them and played a long stretch with our bench. Looking back on it now, I am glad those guys got an opportunity and hopefully that helps us later in the year. We always tell the guys that they have to stay ready because you never know when your opportunity will come."

On Skyler White: "It thought he was rushing things in the first half. At halftime I told him to slow down and be more fundamental. I thought he did that well in the second half."

On Tanner Nelson: "He is still getting himself back in a rhythm after coming off an injury. Hopefully having a lot of games in a short amount of time can get him there."

On hosting the Thanksgiving Classic Tournament: "We are excited to host. In my time in college basketball I have only had Thanksgiving meal with my family one time. So to have the entire day with them and the team will be fantastic."
