SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - The men's basketball team played with purpose and determination on both ends of the floor to earn an 88-45 victory at win at Dominican on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Six Sea Lions scored in double-figures, led by
Ziggy Satterthwaite with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He was 7-of-8 from the field and also had five assists.
Skyler White came off the bench to match Satterthwaite with 16 points while adding seven boards in 21 minutes.
Preston Beverly chipped in with 15 points, and
Josh Rodriguez put up 11 points, eight assists and five rebounds.
Tanner Nelson (13) and
Sterling Somers (12) also reached double-figures.

Point Loma shot 58.9 percent from the field and held the Penguins to 28.6 percent shooting to earn their largest margin of victory in the coach Looney era. PLNU gave up just 18 points in the second half, and have now held their opponents to 70 points or less in six straight games. Â

The Turning Point
During an eight-minute stretch in the first half, PLNU turned a four-point lead into an 18-point advantage. PLNU led just 15-11 when it started, but outscored DUC 19-5 to push its lead to double-figures. The Penguins would never get closer than 16 points the rest of the way.

On team's defense: "I think we have been playing well defensively as a team for a while now. Tonight, our guys executed the game plan perfectly against (Jeremiah) Gray."
