Azusa, Calif.— The Sea Lions traveled to face the Cougars of Azusa Pacific University in their first conference action of the season. APU brought a well balanced attack that overpowered the young Point Loma team who fell in straight sets for the third time this season.
After a successful second weekend of competition, PLNU could not carry over the offense shown while in Washington. Errors were a big issue for Point Loma as their combined team hitting percentage was only .052. APU overmatched the Sea Lions from the first serve, opening the first set with a 10-0 run, to the last point, with a 9-1 run to close out the third set.
