SAN DIEGO - The Sea Lions were coming off of a tough loss just one day prior as they hosted the Mustangs of Western New Mexico University. Despite playing on back-to-back days, the team had no hesitation going into today's match sweeping the Mustangs 9-0. 

The team came out strong in doubles play getting quick wins from all three pairings. Nicole Camaratta and Taylor McGowan earned an 8-0 win out of the gate at No. 3 doubles and the pairings at one and two doubles weren't far behind. Nikki Newell and Shelby Groeneveld took their No. 1 match 8-2 with Ellie Gamble and Michelle Torres rounding out doubles play taking their match 8-2 as well. 

Singles play went much like doubles, with all but one of the matches decided in straight sets. Taylor McGowan earned the first singles win for the Sea Lions taking her match quickly with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Michelle Torres would clinch the match with the fifth point, winning her No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-2. Gabi Armas has yet to lose a singles match this season and played up at No. 4 singles for the third time this season, winning 6-1, 6-1.
