SAN DIEGO – Point Loma got out to a slow start on Saturday afternoon, allowing Academy of Art to jump out to a 17-10 lead after the first quarter. Lock-down defense in the second quarter helped the Sea Lions hold ARTU to just six points and allowed them to take a seven-point lead headed into the half.

She was the only Sea Lion who could find the basket early, scoring seven of the 10 first quarter points. The team scored 39 of their 62 points over the second and third quarters, including shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc in the second quarter.
The Urban Knights made a late push in the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to as few as seven points but PLNU was able to make their free throws down the stretch to seal their fourth-straight win. Point Loma held ARTU to 1-of-15 from three-point range and totaled 10 blocks in the game.
Grace Brady totaled eight blocks in the game for her highest block total in a single game this season, she also scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds.
