SAN DIEGO –
Onjalise Carley-Hilliard scored a game-high 14 points, and the Sea Lions held Walla Walla to .347 percent shooting to help lead the Point Loma women's basketball team to a 77-46 win in its annual Homecoming contest. (Nov. 23)
Carley-Hilliard went 6-of-8 from the field and made a pair of free throws to account for her 14 points, but she also filled up the box score in the win. The senior transfer had two blocks, two assists, three steals, and five rebounds.
Sydney Peterson and
Cara Liggins also reached double-figures with 10 and 11 points, respectively.
Haylee Saurette came off the bench to grab a game-high nine rebounds.
The Wolves hung with the Sea Lions throughout the first half and trailed just 34-29 at the half. They cut into Point Loma's lead with a 3-pointer right after the half to make it a two-point game, and that finally seemed to wake up the Sea Lions. PLNU proceeded to put together a run to extend its lead to 51-41 at the end of the third quarter before outscoring WWU 26-5 in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
