Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

FIRST-PLACE SEA LIONS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT

SAN DIEGO Darnell Robateau scored 19 points and Ben Okhotin came off the bench to add 15 as the Point Loma men's basketball team won its fourth straight game by defeating Academy of Art, 81-62. (Jan. 13)

Robateau went 7-of-12 from the field, including two 3-pointers, en route to his third straight game in double-figures. He added six rebounds, four assists and three steals. He also drew seven fouls to help PLNU once again make more free throws (13) than its opponent had attempts (six). Ben Okhotin led a quality bench performance for the Sea Lions' entire second unit. He hit four shots from behind the arc en route to 15 points. His effort helped the Sea Lions' bench outscore the Urban Knights' 25-8. Josh Hill had 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting to lead Academy of Art.

PLNU shot .516 percent in the first half to build a 41-27 halftime-lead. The Sea Lions would add to the lead in the second half and went up 18 (57-39) with 13:10 remaining. However, the Urban Knights would not go away. They cut the lead to nine (67-58) with 6:54 left, before Kaden Anderson scored five straight points to fuel a 14-4 Sea Lion run to close out the game.
