SAN DIEGO - Propelled by wins on the road at Biola and Concordia, the Point Loma men's basketball team jumped up seven spots to the No. 16 team in the country in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches rankings. (Feb. 4)
 
The Sea Lions (17-3, 13-1 PacWest) have won nine straight games and sit atop the PacWest standings under new head coach Matt Logie. Six different student-athletes average double-figures in scoring for Point Loma. Kaden Anderson leads the way with 14.1 points per game, followed the lone senior, Sterling Somers (12.8). As a team, PLNU shoots .480 percent from the field, and .402 percent from 3-point range.
 
Tomorrow night, Point Loma will host No. 7, Azusa Pacific (16-3, 11-2 PacWest), in a showdown of the top 2 teams in the PacWest. The game will tip-off at approximately 7:30 p.m., and it will be a Green Out in the gym for the Sea Lions.
